Martin Luther King’s speech, “I Have a Dream” is one of America’s most noble moments. One can feel the arc of history curving toward justice and freedom.
Hearing it now from today’s perspective, we sense the seismic changes taking place in the hot summer sun of 1963. This was not obvious to everyone at the time, at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial.
This great moment was captured live, so we can relive it.
17 and a half minutes, remembered forever.
May his words remind us of our past. Of where we came from, and who we are today. And of how far our journey has yet to go.
We still need to forge ahead.
